First Week, Let's Rally Together In Exhaustion

So, it's Friday. We find ourselves welcoming the new weekend with open arms and want nothing more than to ____. Everyone has their plans; partying, lounging, working, reading, chores, partying, exploring, partying. What else is there to do?

This is the first post of the Platform-1 Ohio State University blog. I (Brian) will be a regular updater for this blog. I'm sure by the end of the month you'll be familiar with my daily doings.

Since I'm a huge nerd, I predict I'll be talking a lot about books. There'll be a lot of music chat, but also plenty of book chat.

Having said that,

BOOKS

we've officially entered our lit portion of today's class. I'm reading the Stranger by Albert Camus. Who doesn't love a good murder story? If you agree, go pick it up. It's short, sweet, and engaging.

MUSIC

Oh yeah, there are different departments to this store. I know I'm a big indie/rock nut but I find myself lately drawn to a lot of shoegaze. Ever heard of Autolux? I can't get enough of their song "Turnstyle Blues." A friend played them for me in high school and I didn't like them off the bat but right now I get cravings for it. It's weird. Also, yesterday I saw a My Bloody Valentine music video on FUSE and I gotta tell ya, wow. My initial impression of them was way off. That shit was the shit, eh?

ANYWAY, I just wanted to make an initial post. What's to come is unexpected so don't turn the channel, you don't know what you might miss!
